Create and personalize your AI honesty statement

Answer a few questions and receive a tailored disclosure you can paste into Common App, Coalition, or a school portal — written in your voice, not a generic template.

Draft your disclosure statement

Pick the tools you used, describe how they helped, and we'll generate a statement ready to paste into your application.

Step 01

Applicant details

These appear in the opening line of your statement.

Step 02

Tools you relied on

Tap every platform that played a role. Product names stay as listed.

Step 03

What the tools helped with

Choose every activity that applies. Badges hint how prominently to disclose it.

Step 04

Extra detail (optional)

A sentence or two about your workflow makes the final statement more credible.

Step 05

Detection services used

Optional — note if you ran your work through any checker below.

Step 06

Anything else?

Where to place your statement

Portals differ — match the channel to how you are applying. When in doubt, ask a counselor before you submit.

Before you submit: A teacher or counselor can help you decide whether disclosure is expected, optional, or discouraged for your target schools.

Common App

  1. Open the Writing area of your profile
  2. Scroll to Additional Information — up to 650 words
  3. Paste the statement there as supporting context
  4. Answer any school-specific AI questions in supplements separately

Additional Information exists for context that does not belong in your main essays.

Coalition App

  1. Sign in to your Coalition profile
  2. Find open-ended or supplemental text fields
  3. Attach the disclosure where free-response space is available
  4. Review each institution’s own guidance — policies differ

Coalition member schools set their own expectations; read each portal carefully.

Direct portals

  1. Look for dedicated AI or integrity questions first
  2. If none appear, use catch-all fields such as “Anything else we should know?”
  3. A short closing note on supplemental essays is acceptable when space is tight

Tip: Policies change quickly. Confirm each university’s current stance on AI before pasting a disclosure — some require it, others only want it when prompted. Our policy guides (launching soon) will catalog school-by-school rules.
